I was over the moon not because that I won a medal actually, okay partly due to that but what made me smile so brightly was that I completed the 5km long run without any rest! Haha I never experienced such a perseverance of mine! That's the spirit, man!
Most of the time I ran with the Tro11ers, whom I'd stick to for the rest of my medical school years.
They are the ones who will fight with me till the end, also not forgetting the FIS-ians.
I remember seeing a phrase saying that, "There are different people who walk with you through certain points of your life, but no one will finish the journey with you. You have to complete it on your own." I couldn't agree more.
It's like when you're running, you can't follow others' paces forever. When the time has come, you need to let go and return to your own pace. But deep in our hearts, we cheer for each other. :)
No matter how fast or slow we run, we will eventually meet at the finish line.
Ah Sou and I got a medal for ourselves!
Ah I must mention how I like her telling me her feelings which I think she seldom tells people. Quite a number of times already. ;)
Sports
Exercising has become a part of me nowadays. Morning jogs, badminton and even bowling are my sports activities with my awesome uni buddies. There was so much fun in enjoying the evaporation of sweats from skin surface. It's like your skin is breathing! *woah*
Fading jawline
Unfortunately, lately I've been consuming too much food. I'm starting to accumulate fats again! I can feel that my face and body becoming rounder omg! I must, I must keep my appetite small now! And crazily exercise!
Blame this orientation
Why? During the first two orientations, I lost weight. But for the orientation which has just ended a week ago, I have gained some pounds! I couldn't believe it! Omg. I thought it was a golden opportunity for me to slim down more. Seems like I was totally wrong...
Dumped Maggi
It has been more than a year that I abstained from instant noodles. This is one of the biggest achievements on the list. But, oops. I feel like having a bowl of garlic chicken 出前一丁with a 'spring' egg now! :O Someone cook for me please!
Food loyalty
I was looking for yo'good at The Store. There were various flavours such as cranberries, strawberries, etc... So many choices... But no! All I wanted was just almond chocolate! But I saw none of them on the shelf. I gave up. Well, I still need to survive. So I got myself my old love - Nestle Cornflakes for nostalgia. Lol.
Expanded circle
I know I'm slow in progression of this. However, I think people are gradually entering my circle. Or shall I put it in this way, that I'm stepping into theirs instead? Either way, I'm cool with it. As long as we can communicate in harmony. ;)
Muddle-headedness remains
After so many life experiences(actually not many lol just wanna make it sound nice), I'm still muddle-headed at times. I don't like people doubting my capability and look down on me. So I will try to prove my ability. But sometimes nature is difficult to change. Perhaps I'll be 傻大姐 for a lifetime? I will make effort to minimize that side of me anyways, not in front of my close friends though. Haha.
Tro11ers' small gathering
Spending time with Tro11olol is relaxing(even now cooking to me is not very stressful dy). One of the special things about Tro11ers is that our events have always been heart-warming. Differing from many other groups, our theme is usually so homey as we cook our own food, with love. Hahaha we're so cute right? We often do something simple but fun with the presence of each other. We had a mooncake festival celebration last night. It was just a simple dinner prior to lanterns and candles fun! Luckily the rain did not put out our burning passion of lanterns walking...
Boggle
This is so awwwwww. It's been a very little wish of mine to play Boggle again since Standard 6? I gazed at the box which was kept high up in the cupboard. I tip-toed like a small kid to reach the box. Somebody saw and understood me and then gave me a hand. I have been longing for years! Like finally, I got to reminisce the green day again. Sighs, time has just slipped through like that. "You're a grown-up now, Carmen."
Dislike departure
Talked with my dearest Ciawen this afternoon. Despite the lack of contact, we still love each other. Knowing that she'll be leaving for UK in one-year time, I feel unbearable to let her go but at the same time I am so damn glad that she has the chance to spread her wings and soar in the unlimited sky there.
Delicious music
Let me end this post with White Flag. It's a song which I got to know from one of my favourite seniors whose birthday was yesterday. I shared this song with Ciawen today. She loves it like I do! And her response was like mine. Hahaha. Omg I miss her. <3
